Mission/Purpose

Trust for Change is a resource to help stakeholders of organizations understand how to assess and measure trust over time. A proper understanding of trust can ensure organizations make appropriate change more efficiently and effectively. We need trust to make real change!

We developed these ideas when we began collaborating in 2015 to help train community health volunteers in the Kenyan health system. We were surprised how excited people were about their work and how they were able to do things in communities so quickly, beyond their own timelines — and with no money! So it was clear we needed to understand deeper WHY the work was effective. How could resources be deployed in a community so quickly to solve problems, without any external funding other than leadership development?

We began to think and read and talk and realized success of the training and coaching is at its core about TRUST-building. But, as we began to look for models of trust building in the health systems literature, found there was little to understand how to sustain it in community systems. We began reading the literature, doing, reading and doing – this site captures much of what we would like to share with you!
